Bath Salts

Bath salts are fast and easy to make and allow you to create your own customized scents. They are great for relieving muscle aches and pains, and will leave your skin feeling soft and silky.

Ingredients:

1 cup Coarse Sea Salt
1 cup Epsom Salts
20 drops of Essential Oil

General Information:

Use a wide mouth jar to mix and store your bath salts in. A wide-mouth mason jar works great, but you can also use an old mayonnaise jar. Use any combination of essential oils you like, be creative! For a wonderful, relaxing, and stress-reducing blend, you might consider a combination of Lavender and Lemon Verbena essential oils. For other ideas of oil combinations, try our inexpensive oil-blending decoder cards. We also list the essential oils we use in our bath salts, and you are welcomed to get ideas from these.

Some people recommend more or less essential oil. This is entirely up to you, but In this case, more might be less. We have found that 20 drops of oil for two cups of salt is a good amount for most people.

Keep in mind that ALL salts are dehydrating. If you have dry skin, use bath salts sparingly. You might also consider using bath oils instead.

How to make the Bath Salts:

Measure the salts into the  jar.
Add the essential oil(s).
Cover the jar and shake thoroughly.
Keep tightly covered and store out of direct sunlight.

The bath salts are ready to go, so go draw a bath if you're ready (eager) to try them out! Enjoy!
